Who we are
Purine Smart is sold by Ray Perry, trading as HillDale Computing, 1 High Street,Marlow Sl7 1AA. Email: Hilldalecomputing@yahoo.co.uk.
What you're buying
A licence to use the Purine Smart web app, which runs in your phone's web browser at purinesmart.co.uk/app. You pay a one-off price of £4.99 (including any VAT that applies). There is no subscription.
Your licence key works on up to 2 phones at a time, for your own personal use and your household's. Please don't share or resell it. If you change phone, you can unlock the new one, or email us and we'll move your licence across.
Not medical advice
Purine Smart is a food information guide to help you choose lower-purine foods. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent gout or any other condition. Purine figures are averages of laboratory measurements, and real foods vary. When you scan a product, the app matches it to the closest food that has been lab-tested and shows you which one it used – this is an estimate, not a measurement of that product. Always follow the advice of your doctor, pharmacist or dietitian.
Your right to cancel
Purine Smart is digital content that you can use straight away. When you buy, you agree that we can supply it immediately, and you accept that, once your licence key has been sent to you, you lose your legal 14-day right to cancel.
We still want you to be happy with it: if Purine Smart doesn't work properly on your phone, email us within 14 days of buying. We'll try to fix the problem, and if we can't, we'll refund you in full. This doesn't affect your legal rights – digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.
Keeping it running
We aim to keep Purine Smart available and up to date, but we can't promise it will always be available, or that every product will be found when you scan it. Product details come from Open Food Facts, a free public database, and may sometimes be missing or wrong.
Our responsibility
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care, but our total liability is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your own courts.
